Shinobi Versus Shinobi Mobile & PC Control Guide
How To Play
- Move your Blue Ninja around the arena using the arrow keys.
- Press O to swing your sword when your rival gets in close.
- Press P to throw a star at an opponent hanging back at range.
- Watch the Red Ninja's timing and dash in or out to dodge incoming attacks.
- Clear each arena to unlock the next one, working your way through all 30 stages.
There's something oddly charming about a fighting game that skips the blood and gore and just lets two ninjas duke it out for bragging rights. Shinobi Versus Shinobi keeps things simple on paper, blue fighter versus red fighter, one arena at a time, but the back-and-forth between sword swings and thrown stars gives it more depth than you'd guess from a first glance. You're not button-mashing your way to victory here. Every swing has a window, every star throw has a bit of travel time, and the Red Ninja isn't shy about punishing sloppy positioning. Thirty arenas sounds like a lot, and it is, but each one nudges the pacing just enough that you never quite settle into a single rhythm. It's the kind of pick-up-and-play scrap that works whether you've got five minutes or fifty.
Winning Strategies
- Bait your rival into throwing a star first, then close the gap while they're recovering.
- Don't stand still after landing a hit; the follow-up window rewards fighters who keep moving.
- Save your own stars for moments when the enemy backs into a corner with nowhere to dodge.
- Mix up sword strikes and thrown weapons instead of leaning on one approach the whole match.
- Study each new arena's layout for a second before engaging, since tighter spaces change how far you can safely retreat.
